The Authentication Service is the gateway into the SCi-Toolset server suite. Customers can operate the SCi-Toolset in a standalone configuration, where the Authentication Service validates users against a pre-set list, or it can be integrated with enterprise services such as Microsoft's Active Directory Domain Service. The Authentication Service controls access and access privileges, protecting critical information of the upmost sensitivity.
The Authentication Service user seats are a licenced feature of the SCi-Toolset. Each instance of the SCi-Toolset is designed to accommodate up to 50 concurrent users.
