The Archive system consists of a long term storage that is simple to manage, provides automated backups, and is scaleable. In combination with SCi-Toolset, the Archive system provides flexibility to support evolving user needs, provides reliable storage that is resilient to failure and protects against isolated disasters.
The technology used within the Long Term Storage (LTS) is software defined object-based storage. It is designed to handle files and data-streams along with their associated metadata. Storing the files with their associated data allows it to be indexed and searched readily. This means that should the Intelligence Nodes ever be lost or unavailable the data within the store remains accessible and searchable.
Technology within these stores provides a remarkably high level of data durability. This is achieved by copying the data across multiple sites and storing it across many redundant servers and storage arrays.
System designed to scale easily to the capacities seen in datacentres.
The Long-Term Storage (LTS) uses the latest generation of data storage.
